Every year on Independence Day and Republic day, flower shows are organized at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. This flower show has been one of the most awaited events in the Garden City.
The 2016 Republic Day edition of Lalbagh flower show is the 203rd flower show! A remarkable milestone.
Me and hubby visited the flower show last weekend at Lalbagh and were surprised to see the beauty…
In sunshine shades and brilliant hues, Lalbagh was a riot of colors, an ultimate treat for eyes… The glass house is made into a floral replica of the German house of GH Krumbeigal, legendary gardener and one of the architects of the gardens. It is built with more than 5 lakh tiny flower pots… Marvelous…!!

There are many handcraft and food stalls outside the glass house, we did some shopping and had some snacks there… Nice Place for shopping as well…!
This 10 day floral extravaganza at Lalbagh is open for visitors from January 16-26, 2016. All the flowers and plants displayed at the Flower Show are detailed with definite information.
The cool and sublime weather condition of Bangalore adds to the splendor of the Flower Show in more ways than one way. Undoubtedly, a must visit place for the whole family.
