Lunch Treat @ Sizzler Bay

Today, it was Farewell Lunch Treat from Devendra who is moving out of our current organization! So let me first wish him in this Post!

Congratulations Dev,

Wishing you much joy and Happiness as you begin a new Chapter in your Life!

Wish you all the very best for your future venture & May success follow wherever you go!

On this Occasion, we visited Sizzler Bay – A Warm and welcoming little restaurant on Sarjapur Main Road, very near to the Kaikondrahalli Lake. First of all, the décor is simple yet chic, All in Black-and-White with wooden furniture which adds a charming rustic look to the place. The songs being played were really nice, and made the atmosphere so much relaxing.

Not very crowded at that time of day, the Staff ensured an enjoyable buffet experience for our team. Right from the moment we entered, they were taking care of our requirements like choosing a perfect table, separating veg and non-veg tables properly… The Staff is very courteous and helpful.

First came the Drinks, We didn’t wanted anything fancy, and so ordered some casual soda. Look at the way of presentation!

The Soups were – Tamatar Dhaniya shorba for veggies and Murgh-Badami for non-veggies.

Tamatar Dhaniya shorba was creamy, but sour for my taste… A little bit of pepper and its perfect now.

Then they started serving the starters at our table.

  • Gobi Manchurian: I, not being a great Manchurian fan, didn’t enjoy this much. But my friends liked it.
  • Crispy Potato: Mashed Potato roundels baked to a crisp and yummy snack. Served with Tomato ketchup and Mustard-Mayo Sauce tasted great!

  • Cheese-Corn Nuggets: These Golden Crisp nuggets on outside were equally soft-lucious-Cheesy inside.
  • Peshwari Panner Tikka: Fresh-Soft Paneer marinated in spicy masala and barbequed on charcoal had a smoky flavor and spicy taste, just right for my liking.

Main Course:

  1. Chana Masala: Cooked with Black and White Chana in a onion gravy with Punjabi masalas It was definitely the Show-stealer of the day!
  2. Paneer Tikka Masala: Cooked in Onion, Tomato and Capsicum curry with a fresh Paneer was a nicely complimenting the entire main course. I would have liked it little less sour.
  3. Phulka: The Phulkas were served hot on table and were very soft and well-cooked.
  4. Biryani: It was aromatic and flavorful, though ate it much.

There were 2 options for desserts and 4 ice-creams.

  1. Dry-Coconut Jamun: The Jamun was just yum!
  2. Galouti Jamun: This was something I tried for first time, so cannot tell the authenticity, but I liked the taste. It was so good with a vanilla ice-cream.
  3. Tutti-Fruity Ice-cream: Sooo Good, felt like going back to my childhood!
  4. Vanilla Ice-cream: Plain yet creamy!
  5. Strawberry Ice-cream: Okayish
  6. Chocolate Ice-cream: Chocolately and creamy!

The Lunch Buffet costs 349 plus Taxes for veg and 449 plus taxes for non-veg.

So to conclude, I would say it is a pocket-friendly restaurant with a chic-boho décor, good food and relaxing atmosphere.
