Punjabi Times

Punjabi Times, a Punjabi restaurant on ORR in Bellandur Area, in the same building as of the Pubs – Tipsy Bull and Glassy.

Once you reach Punjabi Times, you are transported to a Mini Punjab in Bangalore – brightly colored walls with Punjabi Dhols and Paintings, Colorful Bangles used to create beautiful art-piece on the ceiling, Beads Curtains… and comfortable seating with a view of all-time busy ORR.

Start with a Harra Shorba, a refreshing mint-coriander soup and follow this with an Aalu Makai Sev Di Tikki – an unusual combination of Corn Kernels blended with mildly-spiced crispy-fried potatoes. We also enjoyed the Cone-Masala-Papad… Pakka Punjabi Style Spicy!

To the Main Courses, we had the usual Paneer Tikka Masala and Subz Amritsari. Both the Gravies were well cooked. The Gravies were not very spicy and the actual flavors of the individual veggies were retained in the preparations. The Rotis were stunning. The Makai Aalu Wadi De Chawal recommended by the Server was amazing! It’s a Punjabi version of Veg. Biryani with Corn, Potatoes and Punjabi spices.
Dessert – if you still have room…! We tried their Shahi Tukda, which is deep-fried in desi-ghee, but the rabdi served with it was not up to the mark, and didn’t make it to our liking. The Gulab Jamuns were delicious, soft and fresh… lip-smacking!

Punjabi Times offers a no fuss authentic Punjabi Restaurant Experience.
